The Ultimate Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Looking for a little help in finding something special for Mom? Check out our list of fun and inspired gifts moms love.

Gardening
  • Parsley, sage, rosemary & thyme. An indoor herb garden is a gift to gardeners and chefs alike.
  • Flowers. Specifically, a live flower or plant that she can transplant into the garden.
  • Garden tool basket. For moms with a green thumb, a handy carry-all will have her thinking of you every time she reaches for her trowel.

Relaxation
  • Custom soaps. Use a cookie cutter to create shapes like hearts, flowers, etc.
  • Candles. With scents like wild honeysuckle and pomegranate peony, spring-scented candles will add a lovely and relaxing ambiance.
  • Robe and slippers. A silky new robe and some fleece-lined slippers will make her feel all kinds of pampered.

Foodie
  • Homemade brunch.  Return the many years of meals she’s made with her favorite pancakes or omelet, and some mimosas. Make sure someone is on kitchen clean up, too.
  • Favorite cookbook.  Is her cooking bible going out of date? Today’s cookbooks are charming collections of recipes and stories, many with gorgeous photography.

Techie
  • iPhone or e-reader cover. Update her phone or e-reader with a fun new cover.
  •  Personalized tablet. If you and your sibs live far away, give Mom some face time with a tablet. All of you can go in on this one. Load it up with pix of you and the kids, her fave books and movies. And instructions for how to video chat.

Fitness
  • FitBit. Indulge her newfound love of Zumba! Encourage her health kick. The Fitbit Flex is simple and tracks stats like number of steps and calories burned.
  • Walking shoes. Super lightweight, flexible, and oh-so-stylish!

Classics
  • Gourmet chocolates. Satisfy her sweet tooth with gourmet chocolate goodies, like decadent truffles or salty caramels.
  • Cut roses.  If you can't be there in person to deliver hugs and kisses, what better way to say "Happy Mother's Day" than by sending a dozen red roses?
